Mosquitoes are bothersome pests; they leave behind itchy welts, make outdoor activities unbearable, and put you and your family at risk for dozens of diseases. Here at SafeSpray Pest Control, our goal is to reduce mosquito populations and allow you to enjoy your property once again. With our service, we promise to do just that—and more!
Our mosquito control eliminates:
Mosquitoes can easily travel great distances, which makes it impossible to completely eliminate their entire population. However, our mosquito control can still help by dramatically reducing the number of mosquitoes and giving you peace of mind that your family is safe from the diseases they can carry.
Our mosquito control includes:
Mosquitoes reproduce quickly, which means you need recurring treatments to keep their populations in check. That’s why our mosquito control includes 10 treatments throughout mosquito season, which runs from April to October. One of our highly trained exterminators will return every three weeks to reapply the spray treatments, allowing you to enjoy your time outside without constantly swatting away mosquitoes.
Mosquitoes are responsible for more human deaths than anything else in the world—that is a heavy statement, but it is true. While most of these cases are found in South America and Africa, there is still a minor problem here in the United States. The most common mosquito-borne disease is the West Nile Virus. In the United States during the last 10 years, there have been just under 25,000 reported cases and just under 1,100 deaths. In 2014, the first cases of another dangerous disease were confirmed, the Chikungunya Virus.
We care about your family’s health, which is why we strive to provide the best mosquito control in Eastern Alabama. These bloodsucking pests carry harmful diseases, including:
Zika is a virus that is transmitted to people via a mosquito bite, sexual transmission, and blood transmission. The virus lives in the infected person’s blood for about a week but can be found longer. During the first week of infection, Zika virus can be found in the blood and passed from an infected person to a mosquito through a mosquito bite, therefore, allowing that mosquito to carry the virus. An infected mosquito can then spread the virus to other people.
Symptoms of Zika are very common with other illnesses, making it harder to diagnose. They usually last from a few days to a week—luckily, Zika typically does not require hospitalization.
The symptoms of Zika Virus are:
There is currently no medical treatment for Zika—the only way to recover is with rest, fluids, and acetaminophen.
We want to keep both your loved ones and the environment safe, which is why we take precautions to minimize our effects on nature. Our mosquito control product dries within 30 minutes, preventing it from being washed off and contaminating rainwater. We also avoid blooming plants to keep your landscaping healthy and allow pollinating insects to do their jobs. With our mosquito control, you can rest assured that your family and the environment are safe with our products.
We also offer the option for non-spraying mosquito control! We use what's called the In2Care Mosquito Trap that lures mosquitoes in and feeds them slow-killing larvicides. This monthly service includes the refreshing of the trap with a new refill sachet. With this especially green option for mosquito control, your children and pets are still just as safe!
